Tangerine Almond Rice w/ Seared Pork Chop

Ingredients: 1 pouch Padma's Easy Exotic Organic Thai Jasmine Rice
8 ounce canned tangerines (cut in half), save the juice
1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
1 cup sliced almonds
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
2 pork chops (4 ounce each butterflied)
1 teaspoon olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
1 sautepan
1 mixing bowl
1 broiler-safe skillet
Directions:
0:00 Preheat oven on 375F.
0:30 Heat the broiler-safe skillet on high heat and sear pork on both sides.
1:30 Cook rice in microwave for 3 minutes.
3:30 Set pork in the oven.
4:00 Combine tangerines, cilantro, ginger, and 1 tablespoon of juice in a mixing bowl.
4:30 In another pan, saute 1/2 of the tangerine mix and add 1/2 the almonds as well as all the rice on medium heat.
5:30 Place rice mixture on one side of the dish.
7:00 Remove pork from the oven and set alongside of rice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
7:30 Add almonds to leftover tangerine mix and set on top of pork.
8:00 Serve and Enjoy.
